Glenn Stetson

Glenn Stetson was a native of Hamilton Ontario who joined The Diamonds in 1969.

Glenn was born in Ramsayville Ontario and raised in Hamilton. He studied theatre under Sir Tyrone Guthrie, and appeared in the original Broadway productions of "H.M.S Pinafore" and "Funny Girl". Glenn was also the featured vocalist with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians.

Mike Douglas brought Glenn into the group in1969 to replace the retiring John Felten. Glenn's stay was but for a short time because of previous contractual obligations. He re-joined the Diamonds in 1972 and sang lead through 1997. Federal Court ruled in 1997 that Glenn  no longer could trade under the name "The Diamonds".

Glenn loved the business end of show biz almost as much as he loved singing. Quite the entrepreneur, he partnered up with a friend "Dick" Milano and the two founded "Little Darlin's Rock-n-Roll Palace" in Kissimmee,Florida (the club was a stones throw from Disney World). The Florida club turned out to be quite successful and this led to a franchise being established. Other clubs were opened in the Bahamas and New York City. The Diamonds had their own network TV show "Live at the Palace" viewed over the Nashville Network (TNN).

Between "Little Darlin's Rock-n-Roll Palace" , oldies tours, and fair dates Glenn helped to keep many performers in the eye of the public, notably The Coasters,Frankie Ford, Fabian, The Drifters,Leslie Gore, Dee Clark, Tommy Sands, The Shirelles, Danny & the Juniors, The Tokens, Bo Didley, Del Shannon, Gary US Bonds and The Dixie Cups etc.

Glenn Stetson died August 22 2003 in Orlando, Florida.
